We know she can be “Gaga” in many different ways. artRave Gaga is different from Monster Ball Gaga, but both are still Gaga. Even though Enigma is seemingly a return to “crazyga” I have this feeling that the album will be completely different. That Eli photo shoot she posted on insta last year was apparently the original Enigma concept. I wonder if she saw the strong positive reaction to the images and decided to save those ideas for the album! It would explain why they went with such a different aesthetic for the show. Enigma was planned months and months in advance, you don't just switch the whole show's aesthetic at the last minute because people liked a couple of pictures on social media. Still convinced that photoshoot was a fun thing she did with Eli to test the waters, knowing he would be her artistic director for future endeavors. As for it being meant to “throw us off”, it could. But then again who’s to say it is the aesthetic for LG6? It’s a residency show. But hey you never know, & only time will tell. None of know the reason for that shoot with Eli and maybe there wasn't a reason at all. Just working together to create something which I guess ultimately led him to being hired. elijahfan 26,836 Posted May 10, 2019 Share Posted May 10, 2019 Where I'm agreeing with you is that I do believe Enigma isn't indicative of what LG6 is going to be - I do believe Gaga sees these 2 projects as totally distinct, and I don't think Enigma will necessarily lead into LG6, at least not this first year. I believe it is her musical director that said they had absolutely no plan of revamping the show for the dates that are currently planned. Enigma is her idea of an ultimate Lady Gaga tribute show, a kind of greatest hits project to celebrate the first decade of her career, and LG6 will be its own thing. Enigma is probably so can perform without risking a huge flare-up of her fibro and obviously it's a $100 mill deal too. Things like this aren't planned THAT strategically for fans. LG6 and Enigma are not connected in any way nor do I think she's giving us this because she wants to do a new genre for LG6. LilyLark 10,142 Posted May 10, 2019 Share Posted May 10, 2019 I always thought they might be outtakes for an Enigma photoshoot, but a quick look at Eli's IG shows that he often posts pics that he takes for fun and aren't published in magazines/ads/etc. It could have easily just been her modeling for him and playing around with a concept.
