Crave and Madame X so far

So, Crave dropped earlier today and I can say with confidence that it is the best single from Madame X so far. I love the guitar, she has the right level of production and the rap feature is actually really good. The singles are getting better as time goes on, Medellin was okay, I Rise was great and Crave is a BOP.

I think Madame X is gonna be like Rebel Heart, an album with mediocre to great singles, but PHENOMENAL album tracks (like Iconic, Ghosttown, Devil Pray and Hold Tight). I'm holding out a lot of hope for Madame X and I think it's gonna be her best post-Confessions album.

Honestly, I am not impressed by anything yet. Like I got chills when I first heard Hung Up or Sorry from Confessions. It was pure Madonna and magical.

Nothing I have heard from Madame X gave me that same feeling... And it is MADONNA we are talking about - I expected a lot more from her

It's funny 'cause I was listening to Medellin and forcing myself to find something positive about it but then Sorry came on right after and I was like "yeah... there's really no comparison, that's trash".

Ghosttown & Hold tight were released as singles

They were released as singles after the album's release. I was referring to pre-album singles

Rebel Heart is seeming like the better album as of yet but we will see. I just need to hear some authenticity really.

Even Ghosttown and Iconic gave me slight chills. I'm feeling nothing now. I do think this is the best visual concept she has had in years tho.

The fact that Rebel Heart had good album tracks, and that “Crave”  is pretty good, gives me hope for the album.

I am also skeptical. “Crave” is not quite as strong as “Devil pray” or “Ghosttown”. You would think that after three underwhelming albums (Rebel Heart was pretty decent looking back) they would try and lead with some stronger songs. I guess we will have to wait and see.

It's all been pretty "meh" to me tbh. They're cute songs, but nothing special.

Do you hear that? It's poison.

Ghosttown and Hold Tight (in Italy, lol) were singles tho

I agree, Rebel Heart was full of hidden gems (Best Night, Iconic, Veni Veci Vidi, S.E.X., Addicted)

I don't think Madonna is relevant anymore...

I gotta say tho... the album version of the tracks aren't what I want, the remixes so far are giving me life...

Take me out of Colombia Madonna and into Egypt, then set me free!

So far, I think “I Rise” is the best, though I’ve definitely listened to “Crave” more because it is a lot catchier. “Medellín” meanwhile... :deadbanana:

Even if Madonna's current material may not be as relevant as her older work, her huge legacy and work from over 30 years in the industry is still highly relevant and always will be.
