Cher was 52 when she got #1 with Believe I don't see why Madonna couldn't do that...

Madonna is 60, as if she’d chart above 70 again

I think it's also important to note that Madonna even at her peak was never really a singles  artist as the distribution of singles was really different back then, she's always done well with album sales tho. I really hope she can find some form of acclaim with this album, it's what the grandma of pop music deserves :diane:

So what age is just a number... Such a stupid excuse.

But it’s true, radios won’t play her music, or at least won’t add the songs to their playlists, and the younger generation mostly aren’t interested.

It all depends on the song I would think.

Doubtful, no radio station would ever want to playlist the music of a 60 year old woman. Like it or not, ageism is a thing

Then make better music

Medellin and I Rise are both really great though, Medellin is fantastic plus has an awesome music video, plus there were great songs on her last albums that never got radio play as well, I really think ageism is why, I mean didn't that BBC radio station say that straight up they are trying to appeal to 15-30 year olds and most Madonna fans are older so they have "moved past Madonna" at this point? I thought Ghosttown would smash a few years ago but 4minutes was the last M song to get radio play.

Another thing I wanna say real quick is a lot of hit songs are terrible, in my opinion at least, and they get tons of play. TSwifts new song is really bad to my ears and sounds like it was on sesame street, but its getting tons of radio play. SO "make better music" isn't really the answer. Radio deals and payola help a lot.

Off topic: Apparently a guy thinks Medellín is an illuminati ritual :air: in favor of Maluma and that Madonna appeared with the horseman bc he's trying to end her :messga: like what?

This. Ageism is the last acceptable prejudice and the only one, that ALL of us will suffer from eventually. Madonna back in the day would have charted with all of her singles from RH. Heck Ghosttown would have been no 1. I mean even Britney and Christina are seen as past it now..Heck Katy Perry is in Danger. Ageism is real and its very very sad.

Well releasing something like Medellin definitely won't help...
