"can you reveal me one of your beauty secrets?" 

and she said "SOON!"

which pretty much confirmed it in my eyes.

Nah, that one had excellent promo  but the second one... and her other projects, like the flying dress

I feel like a beauty line is a bad idea in general.

First of all, her products will immediately be compared to Fenty Beauty. And Fenty is by far the best makeup brand that has ever come out of a celebrity. Fenty actually changed the makeup world and established a new standard in regards to inclusitivity. So unless Haus Beauty manages to top Fenty (which I doubt, honestly) it's going to look underwhelming in comparison. The beauty industry is also SO ruthless. If her products even have the smallest flaws the beauty gurus will rip her to shreds, drama channels are going to drag her, there's just so much potential for it to go wrong and harm her reputation. Also, if she actually wants the brand to be successful, she will have to consistently, every few months put out new products, collections etc. It's not like a perfume that you can put out and then be done with. A beauty line is a huge commitment that will require a lot of Gaga's time. And I think I can speak for all of us, when I say that I'd like her to focus on her actual music and acting career. I don't want her to become the next Rihanna  But we'll see I guess

Yea it's so weird, she said she was sick of doing those kind of things and just wanted to make music, etc but here she is. But we once thought she'd never go all Hollywood and look where we are at lol The ONLY reason I am half excited for her to do Haus beauty is, look what Madonna is doing with her MDNA skin money: making high budget music videos again and dropping millions on amazing stage technology. If Haus beauty ups Gaga's music video budget and we get back to over the top extravaganza music videos and a decent Enigma wig I will be a happy happy fan!

Well, say what you want about whether it's a good idea or not, but it certainly doesn't seem like it's a spur of the moment/rushed thing. There was an interview posted with an investor in the brand earlier this year (here) and the woman said they'd been talking to Gaga's team for two years. 

She also said Gaga is very passionate about this and that they have great people involved in the company. 

I'm personally excited to see what they'll come up with

most "promises broken" were fan imagination figments.  You all love to blame Gaga for stuff she never promised.  

this is obviously not a "spur of the moment" enterprise.  something like this requires many involved parties.   Just because fans haven't heard of it till recently doesn't mean it hasn't been cooking for a long time.
