Britney's most overlooked song, HANDS DOWN

Away from all the singles,  perusing through her compilation material/album tracks, this song is well sung, well written, well produced and deserves LOTS more attention.

Even though it wasn't placed on a proper studio album, at least  the song  made it as a promotional single (albeit, on  a remix album) and should be ranked  alongside the best of her discography.

(On a side note Junkie XL is one of the top film composers today.)

I was never big in to Britney except her most popular singles. I think I was a bit too young (and also my mom banned her music when I was a kid because of the sexual content). I’m at work now but I’ll definitely give it a listen later

My favorite deep cut of hers must be Breathe on me, Showdown, The Hook Up or I've Just Begun. Or Man On The Moon. So many good songs..

Yeah, one of the issues with her singles are the way they were rolled out.

They kind of had it right with her first two albums but with the radio ban with her third album the singles and some of the single choices were muddled all the way until 'Toxic' and 'Everytime' from In The Zone and then her knee injury undermined the potential releases of 'Breathe on Me', 'Touch of My Hand' and 'The Hook Up'.  Obviously the Blackout era was completely overshadowed by tabloid/paparazzi  spectacle.  Circus was satisfactory but because of her conservatorship, I cannot acknowledge anything after until Glory, which was sabotaged because of the lead single's music video.

While not an  album track or an unreleased song but a promotional single rather than official single, 'And Then We Kiss' is one of the very best songs in her discography.
