Before a sale was a sale end of story.... But now it takes several streams to equal 1 sales point on SPS sales

 

So less of the SPS activity will be front loaded but their activity lasts longer

Yeah sorry but no. Even with streaming included the sales are a fraction of what they used to be. Take out streaming now and the industry would collapse. Touring makes all the money now. Streaming makes so little for most artists that you can’t even compare its longevity to a bunch of physical sales.

She's the first to get my attention with that kind of genre of music. I've listened to the whole album like 4 times already and it's awesome!

I didn't say it was the same

Im just saying the debut week makes it seem even more dramatic a drop than it really is since they last a little longer now with sales 

 

Also tbh I think streaming is actually an equalizer for artists tbh

 

Big artists make less but they still make a lot of money

 

Smaller artists with the internet have more of a chance to promote and be found by ppl online... Before the internet and streaming discovering underground artists was harder. Now they have more of a chance
