Some women in some cases don't know they are pregnant till well past first trimester if: - they are very irregular or near menapause and missed periods don't necessarily mean anything in their minds - Not all women experience typical symptoms like morning sickness - Some women dont feel it or start showing anything for quite some time However I agree with u that it's a very sensitive and complicated matter. The GOP are constantly assaulting Planned Parenthood, trying to defund or demonize it as a "baby killing center" when abortions are one of the least common services they offer. Thanks to laws being made like "hallways must be yea wide to have two way hospital gurney traffic", "they must have an anesthesiologist in the building to perform an abortion", and the worst "the woman is required to look at the sonogram and see the fetus prior to the procedure" there's some states where only one clinic (in the ENTIRE state) is able to perform abortions...so safe and legal abortion is getting even harder. And trust me, less legal abortions just means more unsafe "DIY" abortions and these lawmakers know this. It's a war on women. PP clinics mostly offer affordable reproductive healthcare for women and men. Cancer screenings, cheap/free contraceptives, education, etc. You'd have to be nuts to want these places defunded and destroyed.
