Should Billboard change the Radio tracking week?

And align it exactly with the Stream+Sales tracking (Friday) instead of having to wait Monday.

This prevents artist from debuting at #1. Taylor’s ME! will already debut on this week’s chart because Radio spins were massive. (It will be included on the Monday-Friday tracking)

It’s actually sad for artists who technically debuted at #1 but didn’t

Yeah, they should, its unfair to artists who put time into a song which would debut at number 1 but doesn't because of that.

On the one hand, yes, they should to make it fairer to release schedules.

But on the other hand, radio play shouldn't dictate charts as much as it does. Radio reflects which songs are pushed on consumers and not which ones have the most demand - sales and streaming are much better gauges of demand. And that's ultimately what should affect charts the most.

So I'm okay with them fixing it if they also reduce the weightage of radio. Taking power away from radio is good because then they'd be forced to listen to consumers instead of the other way round.

Airplay shouldn't count on the Hot 100. What year is it? 1956?

Nnnn I’d suggest this one too. Songs that are in demand are different from songs that are being pushed down one’s throat

I don't think ME! will debut on this weeks chart though.

@Gypsy Life can you confirm this?

I hope so. Or it will suffer the same faith as lwymmd

Yes. Won't even be close.

The new chart formula made it impossible for songs to debut with airplay airplay anymore.

But I agree with OP. The different radio week makes absolutely no sense.
