Kimmo 80,423
Who do you think is more involved in their artistry, not only writing, performing and directing their own work but also keeping their fan base and the GP more entertained with visuals, music and public appearances? GAGA: BEYONCE: Hottie Detector
darkchylde 14,857
ima risk it and say that the time when gaga was most involved in it was ARTPOP and she was so ignored and underappreciated (not just by the public but her team at that time) that she's just not as involved in it anymore. call me wrong but the joanne era videos are just proof of it. imo beyoncé has the resources, status and freedom to do whatever she wants ... and sometimes it shows. darkchylde 14,857
ima add that being a 100% involved and taking EVERY decision isn't always the best choice. delegating is good and finding people with talent around you to support you is just as important and being talented yourself. She still wrote 90% of Joanne and ASIB. This makes her the most involved in her artistry by default.

Glamourpuss 29,062
Definitely Gaga. She tries to be involved in every aspect of her work to the point that at times it falls short of expectations because instead of letting a professional do the work (like with music videos) she wants to be involved in the process the whole step of the way. She always seems to have a vision of what she wants. She once said that when she would write songs she would be picturing things like the show and the lighting that would go with it. Beyonce doesn't have that same artistic passion. She holds writing camps and it sickens me that something like 15 writers wrote that Who Run the World song. I see that a misconception a lot of pop followers have is what writing music means. Writing a song doesn't mean choosing the words, it means coming up with both the melody and the text aka creating the song. Sorry but you have to actually write to be an artist. If you sing something you didn't write (or better said: create) you are a vocalist/ interpret, not an artist. If others can write better songs than you it means that they should sing them. And please don't tell me Beyonce is more involved than Gaga in her performances. I'd say that Gaga's music and performances are authentically flawed, Beyonce tends to be robotic and is rather PR-driven.
John Wayne 4,486
It’s really hard to compare them because they both have their strong and weaker sides; Gaga is better sonically and at writing her music which B lacks, while Bey is by far better at visuals. They both have amazing vocals and performances. I guess they’re too powerful to be compared to each other

migamiga 12,101
it's actually hard cause i think both aren't as involved as we think they are. gaga had a lot of help from her creative directors in the past and ever since post ARTPOP the only input she has in her brand is in her songwriting. beyonce on the other hand has become the ceo of her brand since 4 and basically voices what she wants to her team and nothing goes unless she approves (whereas i feel like gaga has other people approving her stuff for her now). i think gaga has more hands on input whereas bey just gives an overarching theme and idea and has other people help her with it. overall i would say gaga is more "involved" but i know bey is obsessed with making sure everything goes the way she wants. i'm just not sold on the idea that she's had a hand in creating a lot of her art but what do i know
