Agree. There is no saving this, y'all. It'll burn until the fire decides its done. Could be everything burnt to the floor or not completely bad. I just pray Macron is committed to an endless budget for a rebuild because this church was LITERALLY priceless.

That this happening just a few kilometers away and that next time I’m in that area, things will be different... it’s so sad. I’m really glad I got to visit Notre Dame a few years ago. 

The fact that is has been there for 850 years tho..

I'm obsessively opposed to the typical...

I live 15 minutes away, pass by it pretty much every day of my life. But I always said "I'll visit it later when I won't have much to do".

Same here... Live 5 min away from Notre-Dame and I never visited it... Well I guess I won't for many years...

The fact that it’s lasted through all of the trials and tribulations of France over the best centuries makes this fire even more infuriating

The roof being made entirely of wood it was bound to all go up in flames. Hopefully the main stone walls / structure will be okay.
