Sorry, that actually saves her every time. Helps make the actual hit song a single that the GP wants and not some flop that Interscope thought.

Imagine if they didn't test promo singles and we got BDR instead of Poker Face. :wtfga:

Then explain the other eras....

We need to be more like the Beyhive and just wait until until she’s ready. Though I do wish she wouldn’t tease us. At least B doesn’t do that.

Honestly...Gaga should have released the week when her team changed the profile pics on all her platforms...

It built up anticipation for something coming ANY MOMENT and now we are left with a dumb glitching GAGA banner and silence...

Now other artist are teasing and releasing and its distracting from what could have been a perfect moment for her since all ears were on her a couple weeks ago...

Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!

Well, Do What U Want got so popular that it eventually became the 2nd singleand not Venus, whuch would've flopped FLOPPED.

What @adammonroe and @Jadeykins said.

The Edge of Glory was a promo single turned single and is one of the GP faves of all time. It was the glorious victorious uptempo ballady hit that marked early(ish) Gaga that the GP loved. It might even be the most GP friendly song/single of the era.

And Venus would've flopped hard, sorry. That doesn't mean it's a bad song but the GP wouldn't be here for Poker Face 5.0 with inaccessible lyrics.

A-YO would've been a cute song and I highly doubt it could do as well as MR did even with a Super Bowl performance. The list goes on and on.

Yeah I really don't think lyrics like "Aphrodite lady seashell bikini" would have been popular with a mainstream audience

Also....GARDEN PANTY

I don't think so....might be wrong but I think BDR was a promo single and the label pushed for poker face as the second single because Gaga wanted to have eh eh (for some weird reason haha) as the second single

What I do know for sure is that BDR was a promo single that they were testing. Testing probably revealed that it wasn't catching on too much and so they were able to make the decision not to release it as a single.

This was also the era of CD singles. Poker Face was originally a digital download (September '08) and later a CD single (October). That's sort of like what Million Reasons did. And PF was only sent to US radio in early 2009 if that's what counts as an official single.

Good thing they didn’t go with BDR as second single. That could’ve messed up her momentum early on and changed everything. :omg:
