My parents became fans during ASIB

My parents never really understood why I loved Gaga so much. They always agreed that she‘s an amazing singer, but they didn‘t quite understand that Gaga is much more than „just“ a singer.

When A Star Is Born was released my parents and my sister went to see the movie without even telling me. They liked it so much so they went to see it a second time and they told me they even cried during the second time. Few days later my mom tells me that she bought the Soundtrack and asked me what my favorite songs on it are. She said she likes all the songs, but loves Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Look What I Found and I‘ll Never Love Again the most. 

What made me really happy and proud was when my mom told me that she now understands why I’ve been stanning for Gaga for a decade now and that she gained some major respect for Gaga not just as a singer, but also as an artist and person.  And she even asked me to keep her updated because she‘s excited to see what Gaga will do next!

My parents really started to respect her after going to her concerts. My mom went to BTWB and C2CT and my stepdad to artRAVE and C2CT. They loved it and kept repeating how good she sang live

This is amazing! My mom has been a fan since Bad Romance, she would even do the rah rah dance when the song came on the radio and we would sing along together. She went and saw ASIB with her man and they BOTH talked about how great it was and the music!! 

My dad though, when ASIB came out he told me he wanted to see it. He would always talk about Gaga being a great performer and singer, but he’s never really listened to her music... So ASIB just made him realize that she’s not just a pop singer or whatever, both of my parents definitely respect her! My dad even said next time she’s in town, we have to go.

This makes me so happy. I remember my mom didn’t care for her that much at first. Then we went to the artRAVE, and I think that’s when things started to change. She kept saying that she “actually put on a really good show”. Then she just was always updated because of me. She went to C2C with me and JWT twice. I can’t imagine ever going without her. Now ever since A Star Is Born, she’s become even more obsessed. Like her Facebook was filled up with posts about Gaga. EXAMPLE: Shicabobs o mute grill for dinner than Oscar. Can’t wait to see Gaga perform!

My parents like her voice and some of her songs but always thought she was too crazy and wild

 

That has been their opinion for the past 10 years and it probably won't change 

 

My dad likes Bad Romance the most and my mom Alejandro and Telephone

My dad and aunts randomly watched ASIB the other night:

Dad: I've understood what she's doing as an artist and in her commentary on fame from the start. It's not my kind of music but she's incredibly talented. 

Aunt 1: She's such a good performer and an incredible person. She's so strong. Have you seen Gaga: Five Foot Two? 

Aunt 2: (has no idea about Gaga's career or what we're talking about) It was a really good movie. 

Two out of three previously unknown appreciators in the family ain't bad. I think Aunt 1 secretly stans.
