For those trying to prove a point because it’s Beyonce and you clearly dislike her, keep this same energy when it come to Gay representation. Imagine this: “Gaga walks out of meeting because of lack of LGBT presence”

GGD Members: “Yass queen we need to be represented. We Stan a queen who stands up for us”

:ally:

LITERALLY THIS

GGD is racist, it's just a fact at this point. It's been proven to me several times reading threads upon threads.

I wonder if it has to do with the lack of racial themes in Gaga's music or the fact that many of the people on here are so young and have not had those conversations and experiences yet beyond high school.  tbh i don't know, Gaga should address racial themes in her next album and maybe then these ignorant users will suddenly "understand" because the "queen said so" smh

Does she actually care about proper racial representation or does she just want people of black/African-American background being represented, which seems to be a recurring theme in media (calling things diverse because there’s black people, completely forgetting there are other racial and ethnic groups not represented).

I guess, but this isn’t about me, I’m not the one preaching about equality and diversity and storming out of fashion meetings while virtue signalling.

So you don’t stand for equality then? It’s ok if you buy tons of products made from sweatshops but you put the blame on others for not following through? I agree, we need to hold people accountable, but let’s not act like they are that much worse than what we feed into.

Of course there are people more talented than other people, in general. But if you think that for every single job there is one person who is clearly the 'best' than I assume you simply have no conception of how the real world works nor how jobs function. It's almost literally never that black and white, especially for any of the jobs at Reebok. If you think it just so happens the all the best people that Reebok needs are definitely white and that people only hire the absolute best ignoring their own prejudices and systemic racism from society, then cool, you truly believe in a world that doesn't exist.

But this one does and you need to seriously evaluate how you look at the world. And thanks for literally ignoring everything I said, cool.

Lmao I’m not saying there’s only one person that’s the best for every job, the f*ck? Y’all getting so pissed off for a comment y’all chose to take the wrong way cause of the chip on each of your shoulders. Y’all are the ones calling me ignorant & racist for saying maybe they might’ve hired the most qualified instead of filling a quota like most company’s which f*cks with everyone else’s job chances. Quotas take opportunities from other people that don’t fall under the category & company’s end up hiring just to fill that quota. But y’all wanna take it to the next level & say I’m racist & ignorant lmao ok, stay bothered

The reason why most of the employees are white is more often than not because they're gathered in a majority white country. It's that simple. That means more white people will try out for the job, so by the law of probability, they're far more likely to get the job, especially if everyone has similar skills. Just for once, assume a bit more of an innocent, logical reason. It's the same in literally any other country which has a majority non-white population and no one's up in arms about it or thinking whites need more representation. Would you really go to some of the most racially non-white homogenous countries in the world like Nigeria and Japan and complain that there weren't enough whites? You have to ask yourself - why is it ok for a non-white country to have a workforce that reflects its majority population's race but white countries are routinely criticised for it? Even when our numbers of non-whites aren't big enough to fill the quotas, we're still expected to have equal representation all round. For example, the UK is roughly 87% white, how can we have 50% minority representation in every sector? I'm no mathematician but I don't think that's possible.

Maybe the team wasn’t as diverse as she wanted because they hired people based on who the right person was for the job instead of skin color & trying to fill a quota.

OMG THANK YOU SM

Yes, of course it's "that simple". The amount of **** that you talk, one would think you'd try and do some research every now and then before you open your damn mouth. But then again, I am not surprised with your track record over the years.

You want partnerships with people who give you a new perspective, sure; but, you also need them know where you’re coming from - to have lived what you’ve lived. They are marketing this as Beyoncé’s, after all. It must be personal.

If not a single person on that team was black giving ideas from a black cultural perspective, the partnership is not personal.
