Ava Max: "No one's better than Beyoncé"

She's allowed her opinion and all, but when she's so blatantly inspired by Gaga, how can she say this knowing that Gaga can put on a better performance than Beyonce, partly because she possesses the extra talent of playing instruments? And has a much better rapport with her audience? And doesn't lipsynch? The fact she says "She's just the best, sorry" at the end, is essentially like saying: "You're entitled to your wrong opinion, that's fine." It's such a condescending phrase. What's been annoying me is that so many people are saying Beyonce's the best at everything she does...yet can't give much of a coherent reason as to why this is, she's just The Best, no explanation needed. It shows how much a good PR team can give you. At its best, it can brainwash the world into believing you're amazing with no solid reason as to why.

See Beyonce live and get back to me. They're both incredible performers for very different reasons. Ava's opinion is definitely warranted, and tons of people agree.

In this case, it's not about pitting them against each other,  but it has its relevancy here because Ava's clearly inspired by Gaga more than anyone else. So, for her to say Gaga isn't the best just doesn't add up.

And I have seen many videos of Beyonce's live performances. Very few of them move me. I've noticed that lately, she's not doing as much dancing, leaving out parts of her choruses and letting her vocals slide. And lets not put aside the fact that she's been lipsynching select performances for a long time. Just because lots of people think she's the best doesn't make them right. Not saying my opinion's right either, it's just that, an opinion. Beyonce isn't automatically the best because a lot of people say so.

We're not acting like Madonna fans just because we're calling out a strange inaccuracy between who a singer is most inspired by and who is actually their favourite.

Beyonce is nothing for Gaga. It's easy to be relevant when you're doing features with all the current people at the time of their peaks. Lipsyncing is a skill for drag queens, not an #1 entertainer.
