Idk if it's because of the actor but from what ive seen,  the tone of the movie is off, but the poster looks bomb so who knows?!

Joaquin Phoenix is a great actor though. I have full faith that he'll be able to do the Joker justice.

I mean, it's essentially Elseworlds so you never really can know if it's a good or bad tone until you see it! I, for one, am excited to see DC embrace the non-continuity aspects of their stable of characters. They have such a rich elseworlds universe that it is only to their benefit to *not emulate Marvel and to explore different interpretations of their characters. It's given some of their most iconic interpretations in some comics.

It looks like it’s just going to be a bland movie. I wish there would have been a darker tone to the teaser.
