Only some parts. ARTPOP had some of her best vocals to date. She has a beautiful sustained note in Fashion! She has strong vibrato everywhere (much better than her previous 3 albums). There's Dope which is dramatic as hell.

I’d argue that that was more down to DJWS maintaining her vibrato and not flattening her voice in post production like other producers have done for her. She’s had vibrato all over her albums, but producers have removed it in the past.

Perception is an interesting thing. Just cause you don't understand it doesn't make it wrong.

If you say it's underwhelming by Gaga's standards, you are sugar coating it to try to be more relatable to the OT(Your perception of Gaga's standards is still only your perception) .

I completely disagree, I know some people may not be able to see this perspective. When I seen her in concert, opening this show, you could see the fire in her eyes.

Actually when it came out, I didn’t like it. I mostly upset with the mess of the release and the singles. Pretty much everything that went down in that era except for artrave was a mess. It wasn’t until years later when I came back to it and really started to love it. It’s like her lost album to me.

I honestly love ARTPOP because of the synths and the way the songs are...I can't describe it. I completely get why people hate it, but I love it. The whole aesthetic of the era was on another level too.

Chromatica will live on forever.

ARTPOP is one of my favorite albums of Gaga. I love EDM and cheerful party vibe of it. Also, she has some many iconic and meaning full lyrics.

Loving something that you don't like don't make us trash.

Hi, I want to come and make peace with you
But they won't let me
No, they won't let me through
I don't mind if they a-arrest me
'Cause I'm wearing my Versace
Why can't we just put on a smile and a buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz?
We all might be sick
Whether it's at first or after a few drinks
We're gonna unite, don't think

Fake...love...gurl

Why do people continue to act like nearly every song on ARTPOP wasnt a banger.

There is this pretentious thing in this fanbase where everyone wants her to have deep, sometimes cryptic, meanings behind lyrics and what not. She was forward with it, decided not to take herself so seriously after releasing a VERY serious album with BTW and then enduring all the negativity that came with it.

I think people view ARTPOP as this terrible album because of the broken promises. That doesn't make the music any less great. I read a lot of critic reviews that would review the songs individually and they praised nearly every single song as single worthy, but then at the end, said the album was trash and she was over.

I still bop to ARTPOP, to this very day. For me, BTW was much more of a let down album because of the amount of filler songs that I had to learn to love.

ARTPOP, had it been received with praise, wouldn't have had all this negative stuff holding onto it, to this day. The negativity thsy surrounded doesn't and shouldn't reflect on the music itself.

Everyone has their own tastes, and preferences, but ARTPOP was far from trash. Gaga has yet to release a trash album.

Yes - but her vocals are much more improved and stronger in ARTPOP, there's no denying that. She has parts where it's very acoustic in Born This Way. And the acoustic parts of ARTPOP are still better vocally.
