Idk why they even did this.. Well there's no need to redesign them every year. Apple has always built designs and hardware that can be iterated and last for a while. The 2 wireless chargers I have for my iPhone and Apple Watch are clumsy enough. I actually find the Hey Siri feature quite useful. Since my home is Homkit ready, with HomePod I basically voice command everything. I always forget that my first gen AirPods have no Hey Siri and I look like a fool for saying Hey Siri several times when I have them on my ears.
