LG6 + Theme of Fame

Gaga’s albums have all included anecdotes on fame. Explicitly or not, Gaga’s relationship with fame has been the guiding force in her creative process.

I could make threads on how fame interweaves into her albums, but I’ll save it.

If LG6 is called GAGA, it’s begging to have fame littered through the album; it’s her roots and the moniker Gaga is exclusively ingrained in popular culture.

But how will it fit in?

Where Joanne, in my opinion, was about Gaga’s disdain for fame (or, at least, desiring to distance herself from the fame), I think LG6 will represent the “rebirth” of her obsession with fame.

Whereas The Fame/Monster depicted fame as a villain - or something to be defeated - I think GAGA will be representative of the positive aspects of fame.

Since 2016, Gaga’s career has exploded into her being the most respected pop star in the world (moreso, I would argue, than Beyoncé).

Gaga’s artistry and talent has finally been appreciated and accepted as good. Gaga’s name isn’t embattled in controversies, or is her legacy “weird”.

This is the fame I believe Gaga desired from the beginning. Being an actress (her original dream) she has truly reached the ultimate status that she wanted.

GAGA, therefore, I think will discuss fame in a positive aspect and reveal the entity (or enigma) that Gaga’s always wanted to be in the public eye.

Thoughts?

She needs to stop talking about fame tbh

Why? It’s been fresh every album. It hasn’t been redundant. It’s been complex and something that can be analyzed in her music.

This is tbh a brilliant way of putting it.

I've always thought LG6 would be about the post-breakdown/breakup-family-forward image of Joanne. And if you look at Enigma, it's about her finding herself, who has been "lost" in the fame. So I think thematically it could discuss the greater/higher level of fame she's experiencing now, and about holding onto what's valuable and important to her (and us) while going through changes and struggles. Through relationships, art, career success, etc.

Perchedt.

I’d kill for her take on fame now that she’s had it for a decade.

I could only imagine the imagery, the concepts, the visuals, the lyrics, the sheer hatred she has for some aspects and the complete adoration for others.

here for it

I think you could probably add the elements of what she has achieved within the context of fame. She always dismisses her success in order to promote the idea of “changing someone’s life.” So I can see this & the positive obsession of fame as complimentary subjects. Plus, it would be a throwback to her empowerment bops from BTW and that’s fine by me. 😄

I wouldn’t be here for ANOTHER Album about Fame. She has literally 3 albums that have a theme of Fame (TF, TFM, AP). It’s so done before and wouldn’t be anything new.

Gaga is always involving and if LG6 is also about Fame, it wouldn’t be much of a growth or evolution. I’m very excited for LG6 tho! :)

Just my thoughts :vegas:

Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views!

I get the people saying it’s a tired theme, but her entire career is one big performance art piece thus all falls back on this overarching theme of fame somehow.

OOP totally forgot about Applause

But that's literally it. AP is more about drugs, sex, music, fashion, art, etc. If anything, it's the anti-fame album. "Music not the bling"
