Can't wait for a Simpsons section in Disneyland

There's already a section at Universal studios Hollywood. It's cute. I had a Duff, but it isn't beer.

I wonder if the Fox news station being owned by a larger company like Disney that likely is not satisfied to have only the dumbass conservative market corner will result in Disney forcing Fox to rebrand its news perspective to be more neutral.

That's why it won't get into Disneyland/World anytime soon, since Universal has a contract with Fox to have the characters on its theme parks, and Disney will obviously not include characters from an adult-oriented show in their family-oriented parks.

Don't think Fox News is part of the deal.

It's not. Not even close. There's no way Fox executives would allow that lol

I mean don’t get me wrong, I would absolutely love to see that, but I just don’t think that that’s going to happen. Again though, we won’t know until we see the movie.

As for Deadpool, I believe Marvel and Disney executives have said that they want to maintain the “Deadpool” brand, but that he’s going to be separate from the MCU.

Time for Apple to buy Disney and integrate everything into Apple TV.

That would only cost them half their cash pile :toofunny:

So Disney now owns ABC and FOX? That leaves the CW, CBS, and NBC. Disney now owns almost half of major non-cable networks. Yikes.

They do not.

FOX is basically now independent and studioless. Expect them to cancel A LOT of shows in the upcoming weeks. They have already started the cleaning last year.

Kinda. Disney owns the 20th Fox which produces movies and TV series. While the news and sports are kept by Fox and renaming its brand into Fox Corp.

So will FOX become more focused on news than drama/comedy programming?

Fox's main channel isn't part of the deal, so no. Disney will only have the rights for the majority of the programming currently being broadcasted on Fox, but not the channel itself (which will be part of the New Fox, along with some regional Fox Sports channels and Fox News). I'm assuming they will relocate noteworthy programming to ABC.

Okay, okay. So they don't own the rights to the channel, just to the series programming.

Same question I asked RAMROD, does this mean that the channel itself will begin to rely more heavily on news programming than series programming? Sorry, I'm confused.

We don't know what are the plans for the New Fox. Fox News will remain as is, also part of Fox Sports, but Fox channel is uncertain as far as I know. It looks like they made a deal to keep The Simpsons and Family Guy, tho (https://news.avclub.com/despite-disney-merger-the-simpsons-is-staying-put-on-f-1832401637)

They are looking for unscripted programs. They bought Thursday Night Football and WWE rights. Also they just got a big reality hit with The Masked Singer so they will continue in this direction
