Youtube Insights fixed INLA's streams. They have it at 298M now. I estimated it at 277M a few days ago, so obviously was underestimating.

Hopefully they fix ARUTW next :reductive:

I applaud Madonna for continuing to put it out there.  I just wish she used her position to push musical boundaries.   As the elder stateswoman of pop she should challenging herself and the industry, not just riding every trend.

I was really happy to read comments such as this in this particular thread. Normally people just shut the conversation without even thinking that she authentically produces the music that she likes and continues to put it out there.

I think that charts-wise, she is not even given a chance because of her age and very misogynistic view that she should just “pack it up.” You see that everywhere - in forums, comment sections, etc. You don't read any of those sort of very personal attacks towards the Rolling Stones, Elton John, or any other male artist in their 60s, 70s, or 80s.

She however chooses to keep going, producing music that she loves, despite the constant barriers put in front of her. I do honestly believe that she loves to do what she is doing, even at 60, because she was never one to stay still. She could simply “pack it up”, enjoy her domestic life with her kids and family and enjoy her multimillion fortune and rest on her many achievements.

But no, she keeps going, she keeps producing original music, being a forward thinking pop star, who owns her body, sexuality, and strong opinions at 60, and I do believe she will be the first of its kind in that sense -- that she will open the doors for Katy, Beyonce, Gaga, any other female pop stars to still continue being pop stars in their 60s and 70s if they so wish.

The other thing that happens in her case in the charts context is that people in general place her in competition with artists who are 20, 30 or even 40 years younger than her, and she clearly does not have a fair chance to do achieve that level of success commercially with her age.

When Gaga is Madonna's age I want her to still record music and perform.  I find it admirable that Madonna is still doing it even now, it shows that music is truly her passion.

This is something I respek about Madge. Like she still has the hunger to create music and create worlds and eras and themes etc..I dont enjoy Medellin and her last 2 albums honestly but I appreciate that at 60 she is still performing, promoting, creating fun themes for her albums and touring the world. You dont do that if you are an older person and a multi millionaire unless you truly LOVE it and she clearly does.

wow imagine the longevity it will have if it doesn't start falling much more then this each week. Still doing 2,5M ww when it has nothing really holding up anymore, TTH and those kind of playlists are all gone, Awards season is over since almost 2 months ago, the movie is out of theaters and dvd/blu ray have all been released around Oscar time. Pretty much radio is the only promo factor left the song has and it's still doing this good :nooo:

This shows the power of radio tbh. I kind of also like that radio picked it up late. Yes it was annoying that sales, streams and radio did not align for the most part which stopped the chance of Shallow having more weeks in the top 10 but at the same time it also helped give the song insane longevity so I dont mind too much!

The lyric “And I’ll catch every drop this time around” in Clover is so adorable. They didn’t finish it because? Now I’m mad that I don’t have a studio version :madge:

Because they are RATS! :cryga:

Did you mean too bad the base acted like that towards her all those years that she ended up saying we’re the toilet of the internet? Anyway, it’s for the best for both sides.
