“What I thought would be a cool thing to do, maybe one night, would be like a live reading of the script and sing all the songs as we read the script, like at the Hollywood Bowl or something,” he told DeGeneres, after shooting down her idea about going on tour.

Tomorrow, Shallow will have spent as long as Bad Romance on the official Belgian (Flanders) charts, whew :vegas:

#3 Bad Romance - 28 weeks (Peak position:  #2)
#4 Shallow - 27 weeks (Peak Position: #8, currently at #19)

Sorry I'm not from US.

Is Beyonce's success related to she is the only Pop woman aimed to an African-American  audience?

To be clearer, Does the African-American community like another woman pop singer besides Beyonce?

thanks, I do not want to sound disrespectful or to implicate Beyonce is not talented, is just that I really have this doubt

No, her success is attributed to her being an incredible vocalist and great live performer. She‘s been successful in the business for 20+ years, if her success really was just due to her ethnicity, she realistically would have been replaced 7 years into her career by an imdustry plant tbh. (It‘s not like labels didn‘t try to replace her with industry plants anyway, it just didn‘t work)

The African-American community has actually been quite harsh on Beyoncé before Self-Titled and Lemonade because she didn‘t present herself as „not black enough“ and she has been dragged back and forth because of her Creole/Native American heritage from her mother‘s side. She used to be quite a controversial figure back in the day and definitely had more white/latino/asian fans than black fans.
