I don't really like to speculate because I don't know what goes on inside but it would make sense if she was rushed to start the era earlier than expected for promo opportunities: VMAs, iTunes Festival, black friday sales... Judging by DJWS' tweets, it looked like Applause was pretty rushed, he was working on the unpitched Cake Like Lady Gaga but suddenly it was time to finish and perfect Applause... I don't wanna blame Troy but his name sure comes to mind when you know that Gaga split with him after so many years. Managers get a pretty big percentage/commission of whatever the artist is doing so if someone (other than at Interscope) wanted her to be more marketable, it was him. It would explain why she released Applause while her hips wasn't fully recovered, why Emma said that no performance had time to be fully rehearsed, why she rushed all those designers at the last minute for the Applause video, why she was still recording ARTPOP like 2 weeks before it came out... Why they presented Volantis in her very first test ride, maybe why the ARTPOP app is not fully accessible yet... I see everything differently now, when she thanks the designers and photographers, her speech to Stephen Gan of V Magazine makes so much sense now. She must be so thankful to have close relationships like that to make her vision come true at the last minute. Urgh, seeing fans make the assuption that her ego is in the way of her work must be devastating, ARTPOP being torn everywhere and so much negativity surrounding her. She's just this bundle of love who wants some humanity and excitement where some want marketability. I really hope she gets a team back up and the ride starts up again. creying at this post tbh. It was filmed weeks before it was released, and it was released on its planned release date. This era ****ing sucks. Troy got her on the top of Forbes list for how many years and helped her build a mini empire which is Lady Gaga. She didn't do it all on her own. No matter what she is also responsible for a lot of stuff that has happened. And if Troy used her or wasn't there for her the way she needed him to be well maybe there was also reasons he wasn't around. Gaga was abusing alcohol and d--gs and partying a lot behind the scenes. No manager wants to deal with that nonsense. She was having a good 'ol time being stoned and Troy was left to run sh*t because well she doesn't care about money blah blah blah. Plueeeez give me a break all this whining and Troy finger pointing is making me sick. GaGa YOU are responsible for everything going on right not. Own up and move on and stop with excuses, empty promises and apologies. Quite frankly a lot of your hardcore fan base is tired of it. It was taken out of context, really... Nothing harmful. He used her like she used him, an intense, short collaborative work that's all. Excellent point, it we got the DWUW video now and it did not meet everyone's standards, everyone would throw a hissy fit. Let the girl do her job. I liked TEOG video. And if u wanna go and blame her for everything that happenes with her career then Let me just tell u that a star's profit doesn't got to her 100% she doesn't even receive probably half of it ..... and that if it was all stars by their own then why are labels, managers team for ?....... just because Gaga's powerful artist and has the balls to disagree with her label and manager's decisions doesn't mean that she's in fully control of her career and has to be blamed for downfalls. And all "monsters" jumping and attacking her just because she started to fire people that are unhealthy for her artistic vision and music doesn't mean that she's surroundingg her with 'yes-men people'. She explained everything perfect. She wasn't 100% recovered when ARTPOP was announced and if u have paid attention she dyed her hair and made piercing and new tattoo almost the same time as the announcement of ARTPOP back in July and such acts are usually sign that the person is has wave of emotions or that is depressed and doing such kind of drastic things to cope with it. In interview she even said that she wanted to shave her eyebrows .... but instead to the piercing I mean who will do such things like that few weeks before the start of his new album era. The Applause video was shot AND edited for the span of few weeks which may cosed some parts to look messy .... just one day before the live release of the video the directors tweeted that their adding 'final touches' to the video yeah right It was clear that there was other single that would have been the lead ... Applause almost didn't make the cut. And the same happened to DWUW she said she had one week not only to make concept but to make it ..... and if u remember Troy was fired just few days after(or before ) the announcement of the single switch. Absolutely no sympathy or empathy for her just the usual bashing when you don't even know everything she's been through. She's human and she can break. She can't be superwomen 100% of her career. You also have no way of knowing what really happened (neither do any of us, but I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular because of that), and Gaga never even mentioned Troy Carter's name anyway.
