The whole power excuse just seems weird to me, though. Like, one of the first things you want to check with a venue is whether they're capable of actually housing you. They should have known that before they'd even confirmed the date with the venue...

So many things wrong here.

1. Don't be smoking, blunt or not, when making an apology. It makes you look like you're being casual about the situation and just focused on providing a cool looking aesthetic as opposing to apologising.

2. Don't mention anything about losing money, especially not before apologising to the fans. That suggests you put money above all else.

3. Don't say you love performing for your fans when you couldn't even muster up the gumption to perform some songs acapella.

4. Don't correlate technical difficulties with never performing at these venues before. Whether you've been to them or not, you have to scout them out beforehand and check that they're capable of hosting your show.

5. Don't say that the venues didn't tell you about potential technical issues. No venue that wants to make money will mislead anyone about what the venue is capable of or else word will spread and no one will want to book this venue. This is all on you.

 

I'm sure every employee at these arenas are feeling like Ashlee Simpson's backing band right now, when she blamed them for her lipsynching because they apparently played the wrong song. Both venues are capable and said they were, they could sue her for smearing the name of their venues. She comes to the UK tomorrow for 4 shows up and down the country. If she pulls this stunt here, it will not fly. She's coming to Glasgow and speaking as a Glaswegian, we take our concerts very seriously. If she tries to tell us that our arena, which despite its reasonably small capacity and is among the top ten most visited arenas in the world, is incapable of handling her show, she's done in our eyes.
