mindintransit 465 Posted March 9, 2019 Share Posted March 9, 2019 I'm an older fan - years ago I was still pretty much listening to classic rock when I decided to check out Lady Gaga (I'd heard of her). I was a little late to the party so my first song was Bad Romance. I think I replayed it for an hour, bought The Fame Monster and here I am. I own every album and love all her music but Bad Romance – an epic song. In dark times I watch the Bad Romance video (better than medication). I was a new driver and I was so excited I literally had to pull over when I heard it! I was so amazed and instantly hooked! That same week(ish) I saw my first drag show in Rochester, and Pandora Boxx lipsynched it (right before being on Drag Race) “Magnum Opus” is a fitting term! (I feel Shallow also fits this description in its own era. Though Shallow does not have as much competition thanks to pop music being awful in 2019).
