Is Gypsy one of Gagas best Songs?

YES. It’s incredibly unique yet still very radio-friendly; the beat is catchy but the lyrics are really interesting.

And clearly Gaga was thinking about releasing it as a single, or otherwise I really doubt she would’ve used it as one of the only two songs you get to promote on SNL per each era.

Also, my username doesn’t mean I’m the least bit biased in this matter. :huntyga:

ETA: Wasn't it also the encore during the artRAVE Tour? I’ve been to so many Gaga shows, and was intoxicated at each and every one, so the memories are fuzzy. :vegas:

I absolutely love Gypsy - I've always heard it as a sort of sister song, or sequel to The Edge of Glory.

There is nothing wrong with the song. It's good when the mood fits. But I can think of a big handful of other songs that are better.  Heck I like Paper Gangsta better.  Haha

I think it's my least favourite fan favourite track. I tended to skip it a lot when ARTPOP came out, but I listen to it more now.

cute song, almost overrated to me, but far from her worst song.

Yeah. What I loved about the ArtRAVE is that instead of finishing the concerts off with singles, she finished them off with songs that were special to her, which happened to be the deep cuts off of ARTPOP. They were Swine and Gypsy. With all her other tours she finished them off with singles. With ArtRAVE I liked that she stuck to her guns and pulled a lot of anti-commercial moves on that tour.

Sure it doesn’t have her best lyrics but it’s so fun, happy, sad all at the same time, the way the chorus explodes is great
