I'm sorry to hear that... I have really no words and I don't think any words can help I wish you and your family remember him as the man that he was before the disease took him away for you and pray you can stay strong :kara:

It's been some time ago and time does help situations!  Life goes on. We allowed ourselves the process of grief and then ya have to move forward with a wink back to the past.

I just know how quickly that situation went from a one to a ten. Alex wanting to fight back is a HUGE part of it and I'm rooting he not only continues to fight but that he wins!  Miracles can happen.

Several years ago my uncle got a surprise stage 4 pancreatic cancer and he died within a year and he was around 50 at the time. Its a horrible disease. I wish Alec the best and hopefully he remains comfortable in whichever route he takes

Nooo. He has the support of the world tbh. I wish him the best of luck and I am happy that he seems to have a positive attitude. Although that isn’t a cure, it doesn’t make things worse. He has a lot of prayers and thoughts coming his way.

Very true. This is sad!  My stepfather was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (pancreas) after a year of being misdiagnosed. 3 weeks later, the whole family was called in and he was in a hospital bed in the family living room. He was so skinny, not alert, looked like a shell.

We all talked and every hour he would get a morphine injection. Around 2am, the hospice nurse said "about 8 more minutes"....and watching his breath become so shallow was insane. Sure enough, he was pronounced dead at 2:10am.

It was a terrible night and impossible to describe in words watching a man...a man who helped raise you...pass away.

Stage 4 is very serious. I appreciate his desire to finish this season. Chemo and such can help but it also can hurt. Stage 4 is just very tricky.

My heart goes out to him and his family.

This almost exactly how it went down for my Grandpa two years ago. Pancreatic cancer. It was diagnosed late and suddenly he was unrecognizable. I get teary eyed fearing that I will have to see another loved one in that state again.
