She did choreography for Janet in the 80s as well. She did the "What Have You Done To Me Lately" video among others. She was a Lakers Cheerleader and then turned choreographer and was highly successful at that. Then she went solo and had a surprise hit with her "Forever Your Girl" album.  Funny enough 2 singles were released that failed to garner any attention and they almost gave up on the album. Then they decided to push one more single, "Straight Up"...and it was MASSIVE. Nearly every song on that album was a single and the 2 singles that went nowhere earlier were rereleased to better fanfare.

Her second album "Spellbound" was also a very big hit which rode on the successful singles like "Rush Rush", "Vibeology" and my fave "Promise Of A New Day".

She wore herself down on her massive Under My Spell tour resulting in pulled muscles that required pain medicines and some surgeries.

Her third (and so far final) solo album "Head Over Heels" resulted in only one mid sized hit, "My Love Is For Real" and a modest track "CrazyCool"...

Since, she did American Idol and the past few years she finally returned to the stage performing alongside NKOTB and last year she hit the road on her own solo tour.

So there is a Paula Abdul history lesson. Class dismissed.  Lol

Thanks for that. + six consecutive #1's on the top 100:party:

Can't believe yall don't remember Paula as being the "nice one" on American Idol. Back when it had the 3 iconic non flop judges Randy, Simon, and Paula. Back when Idol was culturally relevant and we all meme'd it even if we didn't watch it. Back when Idol actually produced successful popstars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Adam Lambert. I am too young to remember Paula's hits in the 90s but I do remember her time as a judge on Idol.

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3
