Heroin peaking that high was one of the multiple crimes committed in this thread. It should have peaked at 20. Come @ me you groupie love racists :madge:

#6. Heroin

Overall Score: 8.17

Highest Score: 11 - @Amphetamine @Thoth @Phoebe Buffay @littlepotter @Grigio Boy @Varys

Lowest Score: 4.75 - @loathereality

@Blue Madonna's comments:

This is kinda like a simple Lana song, slightly monotonous vocals over a dreamy and/or trippy instrumental. And done well! It’s a bop, and as an individual song it’s great but I just feel that in this album it doesn’t really serve much of a purpose? It’s nice and all but it just isn’t very unique, quite similar to a lot of other Lana music and would have perhaps served better on Ultraviolence or Honeymoon. Also the fact that she’s singing about… heroin :poot: I thought that we were past that stage of Lana’s music :green:

Comments Part I:

  Reveal hidden contents

@Trepadation: It’s change if it was more upbeat & about drugs

@HausOfHarlow: My second most-played track from the album. I wish the song had more live performances. It is just so amazing.

@Punktious: Melodramatic is the only way to describe this song

@Lonely LolitaMy second fav

@Rumours1977: My complaints about this track are actually the opposite of those of songs that I criticized earlier. In this case, I love the lyricism. However, this track does very little to distinguish itself melodically and sonically from other tracks on the album. 14 tracks in, this track doesn’t hold my attention as much as it should.

@ARTPOP2: love the message, the voice, everything but just doesn't deserve a 9

@Amphetaminebest song she's ever written, the lyrics, the melody, the production- this song makes me feel like I'm falling into a deep, black abyss but in the best way possible

Call the police because it’s about to be a problem.

You simply cannot compare Geriatric Love to the masterpiece that is Heroin.

#5. Change

Overall Score: 8.41

Highest Score: 11 - @AJK273 @PlastiscGuy @Kween

Lowest Score: 5 - @Helxig

@Blue Madonna's comments:

The biggest grower on this album for me. When it came out I was kinda like meh, just another piano ballad, it’s nice but nothing special. But I continued to play it when I played the album, and I began to appreciate its stunning lyrics and heavenly vocals. There’s not much else to say about this song tbh, but it’s brilliant.

Comments Part I:

Spoiler

@Trepadation:  I like the vulnerability to the song.

@Punktious: Feels weird placed after Heroin, but perfect to go before Get Free

@Lonely Lolita: She’s cute lil ballad

@Rumours1977:  It is an interesting decision to put a straight up piano ballad this late into the album, but I think it really works. Unlike other tracks where a beat comes in about half way through, the simplicity of this track stands out on the album for me. A beautiful song!

@ARTPOP2the message is nice but wasn't well put lyrically and sonically, I feel like the subject matter could've been brought up more lyrically but instead feels a little amateur

@Amphetamine: would have also been a 10 if there was a little more to the song production wise, but it's still super beautiful as it is

@AJK273: The reason I love this song is because it is beautifully written and the only song that hasn't been tainted buy production, mostly because of the fact that she wrote it the night before the album was supposed to be sent to the record label. It is the best thing this album has. Live is even better. Hauntingly good.

Since all of you killed off the greatest song on the album so early, I am now rooting for Get Free or Love. But you basic twinks will put Cherry at number one I can already see it.

Comments Part II:

Spoiler

@Oriane: One of my favorite songs from the album. It takes its time to get to the chorus but it fits the atmosphere.

@FfFfFfFF: Melodically impressive and nice ad-libs.

@corvus albus: This song draws lines to "Winds Of Change" by the Scorpions. I HATE THE SCORPIONS AND THIS SONG! But Lana made a good track :trollga:

@hellothing: The message is quite beautiful. It is really dark, though. And the verse is foreshadowing something big coming, but it doesn’t really hit the mark for me. Is she hinting a war, a rebellion? Not running away from the bad and actually caring about what’s happening in the world is still a good message. Undoubtedly the darkest song in the album.

@halcyonpop: Another stunning chorus. Not everybody has that!

@The Bling: I already know this is gonna be the most hated one :selena:

@sethrb101: I knew this one would be amazing from the Instagram teaser... and was I wrong?
