It’s one of my least favorites on the album. @ARTPOP2: DIVINE the ending minute is just so calm peaceful and purely amazing, one of the best on this album tbh @Amphetamine: the only thing I would change about the song is that it needs to be longer, she could've added a bridge and final chorus and maybe shorten the beach outro a little but @AJK273: Creep by Radiohead is such a 60's bop now. Cherry Overall Score: 9.07 Highest Score: 11 - @GypsyVida @Gardevoir @Trepadation @LyGaga @Amidana @tomsches @brucee Lowest Score: 5 - @TeenIdle @Blue Madonna's comments: Like others on the album, this song didn’t immediately click with me, but after having listened to the album quite a few times, it just clicked. I started playing it by itself more often, and I grew to appreciate the brilliance of this song. This song just makes me feel like the baddest bitch ever, and those words make me cringe so hard but there’s no other way to describe it. The chorus is amazing, the perfect Goldilocks zone between the trademark Lana monotony and vocal variation. The random swearing is hilarious but relatable, and this is the sort of song I would sway around my house alone at night. The bridge is perfect, and the outro completes the overall badass crying-and-smoking aesthetic of the song. Comments Part I: Spoiler @Trepadation: Yaaaaasssss! This song is so sad yet fierce. A constant mood. @HausOfHarlow: Another standout track. Very unusual lyricism, good production, darker tone. I just wish the track had a longer run time! @Punktious: Another one of her greatest songs. The most poppy I've heard Lana thus far, perfectly compliments 13 Beaches @Lonely Lolita: Fun and funny. I love the random swearing @Rumours1977: In terms of instrumentation, this reminds me very much of the previous track. However, I don’t think this track is as strong as 13 Beaches. Guest Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 Comments Part II: Spoiler @ARTPOP2: I just wish it was longer cuz I always replay it like 20 times when I am listening to the album @Amphetamine: would be a 10 if it sounded more like the live version with the intense guitars and less whispery vocals @AJK273: When I tell you THE WITCH BITCH JUMPED OUT ON THIS ONE. This is how to do trap and Lana RIGHT LADIES. Will be popping my Supreme Bussy to this bop during Halloween. And seeing her do the dance/slut drop live gives you all the life you need. (Tim Larcombe thank you for saving this from being bad like some of the other trap attempts on this album). @hausofcy: This song literally ruined my peaches. One of her best songs ever @Oriane: It doesn’t particularly stand out. I like the instrumental but that’s all. @FfFfFfFF: Another great song! I love how dark and mysterious sounds, the whispering, the Ultraviolence-inspired drums. @corvus albus: the last lines ruin the song. It had such a great atmosphere @hellothing: Going back to her roots as an abused mistress, this track is very reminiscent of her past eras. This track’s got teeth, and in an album preaching about love, this sticks out like a sore thumb. And you know what? It doesn’t matter! Because it’s a good song, hence the high rating. Even though it’s out of theme, it lends a necessary sound for variety to the album. @halcyonpop: This is peak Lana. Peak Lolita, peak mood, peak slow guitar... Also, the interpretations that this song has inspired over the past year and a half... What are her "cherries and wine"? Her "peaches"??
