Of course I was initially tired because it was so early but the first two tracks fixed that . Now, 13 Beaches was the first new song on the album, and this was especially significant to me because I knew the first two like the back of my hand; and OH WAS I IN HEAVEN. The beautiful violin intro, an intriguing and atmospheric vocal sample, and her perfect voice, I was floating. But it was at 1:30-1:35 I had the GREATEST eargasm ever experienced by any human. Ever. And AGAIN at 2:00. This song has the perfect dreamy instrumental combined with her stunning voice, I lay in shock on my sofa for the full 5ish minutes. Every time the chorus kicked in, I honestly nearly moaned. This perfect environment, a chilly morning with a fire burning beside me, no other sounds but this wonderful song. This had me more excited for the album than any album before, by like 100 times. And it didn’t disappoint. Comments Part I: Spoiler @Trepadation: The first time hearing this did summ to me.Before the song played I saw the headlines of Chester from linkin park had died & this song put me in an out of body experience. @HausOfHarlow: My favorite track off the album, and my #1 favorite LDR song. It has surpassed many others on my iTunes in terms of play count. I love the deep lyrics and the production - especially the contrast from the verses and the chorus. @Lonely Lolita: So dramatic and lush. I love it @Punktious: A classic Lana song, written perfectly @Rumours1977: If one were to ask me what I thought a typical Lana song sounds like, this would be it. It is a nice ballad, and her monotonous, soft vocals work well with the instrumentation. It’s a strong song, overall. @ARTPOP2: I like it but could've been better sometimes her voice gets annoying on the track @AJK273: This song still startles me. Not only is it perfectly crafted, shows Lana's perfect vocal talent, lyrical ability, new outlook on life and a familiar yet new sounding production from her, it came at a really good period for me in my life when I was in a really bad relationship and I needed to find myself again. What made it even better was when I flew to Melbourne from Adelaide to see her on her first tour to Australia since 2012 and that was the song that opened the show. This song live will mess you up, the heart attack and energy that the fans all have when she walks onstage is something to be experienced because you know you are in for a night of honest love after that. I just happy cried through the whole song like I felt somewhat complete and comforted by her and the message behind the song. Side Note: She better come back to Australia this next album and she better come to Adelaide. Ill still travel to Melbourne but Lana plz Im broke as. @hausofcy: The instrumental intro will probably be played in the lobby at heaven’s gates when you die and as you enter Lana will start her verse @Oriane: I like the chorus, it’s quietly beautiful. It's enjoyable, nice, pleasant but nothing really happens after the first chorus and it makes me feel bored) @corvus albus: The chorus of this song is so gorgeous But the music on the verses can become a bit dull @Bayonetta: Aged like WINE. @hellothing: Say what you want about this song, but Lust for Life will not be Lust for Life without this song. The radio beeps in the instrumental, ugh heaven. And is she singing to her country as her lover? Or is she singing to fame, or maybe to a real person? I don’t connect as much with this song as the others on the album, though. And please, anyone, why the number 13?? Can anyone tell me the story of this track??? @halcyonpop: This has never been my favorite on the album, but I cannot deny its power. @sethrb101: Beautiful.
