AJRocketMan 2,684
I find something golden in all of her eras and albums but for me Born This Way and ARTPOP were my favorite eras and albums of hers. Her interviews during those two periods were the best. Her outfits and tv performances were so creative and the music was incredible. Great music videos. And the tours for those respective albums were excellent, great set lists and outfits. Also her social media posts were so funny and entertaining. Overall I find Born This Way and ARTPOP to be Gaga at her wildest and most subversive and that’s exactly what I love so much about those two albums. I really hope she can capture that magic again with LG6.

I remember I used to Google her every day because she'd always be stepping out of a hotel in a crazy outfit and every look was amazing. I can also still remember how I felt when the countdown started for the Monsterball 2.0 with the song "finally it's happened to me" blaring out. I was front row at the end of the catwalk and it was the first date so there were no spoilers. I was so starstruck when she appeared on the stage I started crying because I was overwhelmed. It was such a good feeling though, it was like I was experiencing every emotion at once. I wish I could go back and relive that night because I was on a high for weeks afterwards. And for the BTW ball, I managed to get into the monster pit. I can't imagine ever wanting to queue all day again but I'm glad I've had that experience because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Even though I've loved the ASIB era, and Gaga making a hit movie with a killer soundtrack was everything I've ever wanted from her, the TFM and BTW eras will always be the best ever for me. Nothing can measure up to it. It was so magical. This
gumzy3000 7,344
For me personally, it would be the BTW era. That whole era was just epic and special to me since I was a closeted gay teen in high school. It was the first album I ever bought as well and the first Gaga concert I went to. The whole era though was actually spectacular, other than Judas, Marry the Night and Gaga breaking her hip, the performances, hype, fashion, and controversy was great. trolly troll troll
YeehawKylie 7,817
I really love the Joanne Era. It was unexpected and she, despite what many say, truly served. I loved the album (and think it aged well), her outfits, her performances (VSFS was iconic but she also did the Superbowl), her videos (Perfect Illusion and John Wayne are great), and that era won her a Grammy and truly led her into ASIB. That being said, I very much find a lot of nostalgia in The Fame / Fame Monster eras. Her music was very definitive and trendsetting at the time and, while I didn't listen to her much back then, those songs still remind me of that period of my life. RochestrMonstr 3,216
Probably ASIB. Ive enjoyed all of her eras, the recent ones where people are largely aware of her talent are my favorites, and ASIB has been the biggest example of that yet! GypsyBabe 22,836
Joanne era gave us such good sh*t that is under-appreciated. So I am going to say Joanne era. Loved the style, the album, the Super Bowl, Dive Bar, FF2, VSFS, and how it was drastically different from the other eras. Her performances were top notch vocally, and I think Joanne will age really well as a record and an era. It was also a perfect segue into ASIB and her second renaissance. ⚯͛
Blahwhatever22 8,117
The Fame Monster. She was at her peak here, and it truly felt like you were witnessing a legend in the making. Her music was inescapable and her music music videos were iconic, Bad Romance is her Magnum Opus imo. She was just on another level than everyone else during this era. It was a truly exciting time to be a fan.

Word for word spot on I think sometimes fans who were too young during this time, or didn't start to stan till later on will never fully grasp the magnitude of this era. Unbelievable really. I love ASIB and this recent gaga, but I think the recency bias sometimes clouds peoples memories of how much bigger TFM times were. It impresses me most that this was during the HEIGHT of the pop girl- Katy, Rihanna, Taylor, Bey, Kesha, etc. etc. and she still did that. Bad Romance is totally her Mangum Opus too. The way that that song shook pop culture and captivated that whole year was giant. ...oh and only to be followed up by TELEPHONE 4 months later with another staple in pop culture with that video. She was a cohesive, artistic visionary who carved her own path and didn’t give a f*ck what anyone thought. Every moment she left her hotel was an event. Every video was a magical short film (not you Edge of Glory). the music was f*cking fantastic and the tours blew me away. Agreed but I still adore TEOG video, even though it’s widely panned by fans. It’s simple but beautiful, I think. For me, the late TFM Era and The BTW Era were so exciting. The ARTPOP Era was beautiful in its own way. Messy and wild and sad but incredible too. When you take time to reflect, she has explored and done so much artistically. It’s almost unbelievable.
SKANK 14,288
The infamous Tribute Era is being neglected in this thread. Remember when she just became a full time tributary? Stevie Wonder, Elton John, David Bowie, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Linda Perry, Metallica, Carol King, Chic, Sting, Julie Andrews/Sound of Music...am I forgetting any? The most iconic moment of that era was her blowing a kiss to Stevie Wonder.
