I sincerely hope you are joking. Yes it does. If you have peer reviewed evidence of a patient taking PrEP correctly and contracting HIV, please share it with the world asap. You would be the first person in history to find that and it would have huge implications. OT: this therapy has clear basis for working, but it will not be practical for use. In order to do this you would need to undergo a bone marrow transplant after wiping out your immune system. But, you would need donor bone marrow. The risk with this is that the donor’s immune cells may attack your body and kill you. So this would be way too risky except as a last resort. But the issue with that is, a patient with AIDS is infected with some type of disease, which will kill them before a bone marrow transplant could take hold. It is great news for patient with both HIV and cancer, and may lead to new research, but this itself will not be a cure we are looking for, as it’s much more dangerous than anti-retroviral drugs. They give very low estimates of effectiveness (more accurate estimates of effectiveness for perfect use is more like 99.99998 % effective), because they know people will not use the drug perfectly, and they still want people to use condoms. All the .org and .gov websites will quote the 90% effective estimate because it's very conservative and hopefully will still make people wary of their sexual choices. Yet, even the website you linked still encourages using PrEP. If you want to talk about PrEP, you should just link people to that site. It's much better than saying "Wtf?
