A college student from Boston was busted for allegedly using the Internet to obtain and distribute unreleased songs and videos by singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira. Ahmed Bakhsh, who runs a Web site devoted to Ferreira, hacked into her e-mail and Facebook accounts to steal her work, which was later leaked through Twitter and YouTube, according to a Manhattan federal court complaint. Bakhsh, a Northeastern University student from Saudi Arabia, was also allegedly caught on tape by the FBI meeting with one of Ferreira’s reps in Manhattan in a bid “to ingratiate himself with the victim and conceal his involvement in the ongoing scheme.†Ferreira’s publicist, Heathcliff Berru, said she’s “absolutely relieved†by Bakhsh’s arrest, adding: “He’s been messing with her for years.†Berru noted that the leaked music included “unfinished material and even some tracks that were never meant to see the light of day.†From NY Post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
