I loved it and I find the hate for it to be unoriginal and stupid.

People who say eXpLoiTiVe are really ****ing stupid to me

I say that as someone who has truly felt ****, I don't get how it's eXpLoTiVe.

Not everything has to be a social justice festival darlings.

yeah promoting your show as an attempt to raise suicide awareness then doing the exact opposite of what people that are actually knowledgeable about mental health advise isn't exploitative at all. That broom scene? Totally necessary! Hannah slowly bleeding out in the bathtub? Really needed that.

Honestly there's soooo many things wrong with this show and I'm only scratching the surface, but if you think it's a harmless teen drama then you are willfully ignorant at best

I like the show. I do think it achieved its goal of getting people to talk about suicide/mental health more. I have some issues with a few things in the show but I think the biggest issue I have is teenagers (and some younger) watching this by themselves. That isn’t the show’s fault, but this should have opened a discussion for parents.

The book is really good. I read it like 10 years ago.

I was a 2 months shy of 15 when I watched it, I watched half of the first season by myself then the rest of my family got hooked so we watched it together as it got darker and more dense. And I watched the second season by myself, which I agree, was definitely a mistake I felt awful afterwards

The episodes seemed to drag on so much for me. I rewatched some last week and it felt like I had been watching for hours but I was only 20 minutes in💀

Season 1 was great and ended with a lot of open storylines so I was very excited to see what they'd do with Season 2. The thing that bothered me is that they built this hype around Tyler doing a school shooting then right at the end he changes his mind and nothing happens. Sorry but from a writing point of view, they had the chance to REALLY do something great and completely ruined it.

Ever since we got to see Tyler's secret guns box I pictured Season 2 ending with an aereal view of the school with police cars, ambulances and the news talking about the amount of students killed and focus on that for the next storyline. I know it sounds gory and maybe morbid but it's a tv show and come on, it'd have been impactful.

I liked the first season. I felt like each episode kept getting more intense and I definitely had to take some time in between some episodes because it was a lot . I thought the second season was kind of boring. I felt like they could have just had a two part mini series, wrapped up any loose ends they had left in the 1st season and called it a day. Some episodes just dragged on and I felt like they were just adding extra fluff and doing things for shock value. Curious to see what they'll do with the 3rd season, but if it's season 2 boring, I may abandon it.

I liked both seasons. Season 1 really took me to other emotional places. Season 2 was definitely not as good quality wise, but still bingeworthy. I am going to watch season 3 but it's not like I am extremely excited about it.

I just finished the first season a few days ago. I can't say it was the greatest series ever but I think they did pretty good so I voted with "It was good (7/10)".

I don't plan on watching the second season though. I've read quite a few bad reviews about it so I willleave it like that.
