Canadian radio stations play Shallow all the time.

I love my country :kara:

The DJ’s don't like it, that's simple.

Radio is always chasing the new sound or generic sound which means traditional songs like Shallow/Joanne /C2C don't get a look in.

I'm here for shallow going number 1 but I don't care if it doesn't

It's has no relation to the quality of the work and my own opinion on it

So weird to keep hearing this. In Belgium they play Shallow all the friggin' time, and now I hear ARUTW at least once every day as well :air: What's going on there.

If it was Shallow by (Ariana Grande) it would play tbh

I think her label didn’t push harder for the song for radio, successful nevertheless

It's being played in the UK. The day after the Oscars it was all over the radio. It's sad to hear that American radio isn't giving her that same support.

Idk but whatever the reason is, it is NOT a good one.

There is never a reason not to play radio friendly, inoffensive songs if there is no bad controversy with the artist releasing it (R Kelly... Idk anyone else).

I hate radio. They haven't played my favourite artist's new music in years despite her releasing tons of catchy after songs.

I've seen comments in YouTube saying they hate shallow because it is overexposed and being played too much from where they are.

Here in the US,  I can't relate.  :wtf:

pop radio in the US is full of pop and rap du jour and lame attempts at humorous hosts.  They are so afraid of losing the teen demographic that everything is superficial and immature, and they are deathly afraid that any song that differs from the pop group-think will cause someone to change the station.   Yet they don't realize that this lack of diversity in entertainment is actually an insult to the audience, and one of many reasons why radio is dying a slow death.   I have no idea why anyone listens to music radio anymore.  I listen to talk radio, but not music radio.

I saw a few posts from radio DJs here praising her Oscar performance and Shallow, yet they won’t play it. Definitely weird.

Security reasons, the climax is hitting you too hard so it’s dangerous for the drivers, same reason why Lose Yourself of Eminem was taken down from the radio, even West Coast of Lana had to be edited to the accoustic version because the sound of the regular version is dangerous for drivers

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I heard Lovegame on Sirius z100 a few days ago and completely lost it. I don’t think they are boycotting her.

Let’s have some fun this beat is Sapokanikan
