I think in the last interview where she mentioned it she said she still hadn't seen all of the movie yet even though it was already out, does anyone remember that?

Gaga said in the Kimmel interview that Bradley didn’t want an intro?

She was referring to shallow performance. They didn’t introduce it, it just stared playing

oh come on, stop seeing everything negative, she loved the movie and loves Gaga, not everyone needs to roll a red carpet to Gaga and kiss her feet, she liked BlacKkKlansmen and wanted to give it more importance, simple as that.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Mole Hill, stop trying to be a mountain.

Babs wanted to intro the cool woke movie. Plus having her do a ASIB is a little on the nose.

She loves Gaga and came to the set. Not everything is a scandal.

Or she is just a darling that doesnt want to overshadow Gaga and let her have her moment with her own artistic version.:vegas:

But guys, this was actually a good decision because she let Gaga and Bradley be the stars of ASIB. It's just like Julie Andrews refusing to do a cameo in Mary Poppins Returns because she wanted to be about Emily Blunt and Mary Poppins, and not about her own legacy. Barbra allowed ASIB to be Gaga and Bradley's very own work.

This has nothing to do with Gaga or ASIB. She’s a vocal and very honest person and  it would have been obvious if she wasn’t supportive of ASIB. She probably didn’t want to detract from its night and continue the “its a remake” narrative. Let Bradley and Gaga have their night.

Also, she was very moved by the movie she introduced and is very socially and politically minded.

they mean the part where they showed the clip, all best picture nominees are introduced

i thought it would have been cool af if Babs had done Best Song cause she won Best Song for Evergreen from her ASIB

Yeah it would have in a sense but also it would look like the category was pretty sold and that's not a good look for the academy i imagine
