Logan 20,890
Boyd, reached Wednesday afternoon by CBC Radio's As It Happens, apologized for his actions. "There is no excuse for my behaviour last night. I'm guilty of everything," he said by phone.  "I am an idiot," he continued. "I want to apologize to the standup community in Canada and of course the reporter, who was doing his job."

The more people around during a crisis there's less of a chance of someone stepping in, everyone assumes someone else will take care of it. There's studies on it, it's actually pretty interesting and horrifying at the same time.

He was in a bar and it was very crowded, there wasn't anywhere to go. I didn't say he should have run, I said he should have told him to stop. What would have been unprofessional about it ? What would have been unprofessional about it ? Why are you trying to dictate how a victim should have reacted? Knowing me and my anxiety I would have done the same thing, awkwardly laughed and frozen. He literally says "Things are getting a little awkward, I'm going to pass this back over to you" to wrap things up so he can get out of the situation.
