The most undeserved Oscar ever - Sam Smith. Gaga worked her ass of, broke 2 engagements, shot a whole movie, wrote and composed the whole soundtrack, singed her ass off, acted like for the gods etc..Sam Smith just visited the studio for 1 hour eating Cheetos. It's not fair!:neyde:

My god these fans sometimes. This man loves Gaga, wrote a song and won an Oscar. He has nothing to even be forgiven for. In that case we should ask the question if the Academy should be forgiven.

On behalf of Gagadaily I would like to put forth a motion to pardon Sam Smith for the 2016 Oscars Incident.

For those of you who weren't there, Gaga's first shot at winning an Oscar was snatched away from her when Sam Smith took home the trophy for "Writings on the Wall". He went on to claim that he was the first gay man to win an award, or something to that effect. Enraged Monsters mobilized and sent him into hiding after spamming his social media accounts, but three years on, I think it's time we turned the other butt cheek.

Now that Gaga has won her Oscar, I feel it's no longer necessary to harbor any ill will against him. He has clearly shown that he doesn't mean any harm to our Dear Leader. In fact, he's just as much of a stan as all of us are.

That's why I would like Gagadaily to issue an official pardon and remove him from the blacklist (which currently includes the likes of Adam Levine and The Chainsmokers). If "Yes" wins by a majority (51%), Gagadaily will have officially forgiven Sam Smith at midnight EST tomorrow. If it doesn't, you can keep hating him. Vote now and make your voice heard!

We have to forgive him. He invented homosexuality. :huntyga:

Seriously though, there is no reason to hate him. Just because Gaga lost doesn't mean he didn't deserve to win. It's not like he stole it, the academy just voted for him instead. Hardly his fault.

It's better that Gaga won her first Oscar for Shallow, a song where she has the most credit, unlike Till It Happens To You where she only has 10% writing credit.

He doesn't have anything to be forgiven for. He had a song in a movie, he was nominated, he won, he hasn't done anything bad. We think TIHTY deserved it more, that's life. The disgusting comments I see about him on GGD are unacceptable.

And the worst part is that he is a fan too. Imagine you become a successful artist too and you win an award against Gaga. What would you think if you got all this hate from other fans too ?

Tbh we should be mad at the academy more... And I feel bad for Diane Warren, she's been nominated SO many times and never won. :nails:

I was never mad at him. It’s not his fault that he won. Plus he’s a monster so we should not be mad in the first place.

What was he supposed do? Turn it down? :laughga:

Honestly Shallow is a 100x better song than TIHTY so I am not mad. I didn't actually think TIHTY was a good song at all. I completely forgot she performed it at the Oscars in 2016. I could drag it more with specific reasons but yall dont want to hear that. :green: But ya, the James Bond song made more cultural impact than TIHTY so I see why they awarded it. "Shallow" made the most cultural impact of any movie song in recent memory. So hopefully it wins the Oscar next year too lol!

I forgive Sam for winning but I still laugh at him for having the hubris to say he was the first Gay in Hollywood :ladyhaha:
