There is apparently some hack that a game called "Momo" has got into YouTube Kids. The image of the girl or whatever it is is disturbing alone. An Edinburgh mother named Lyn Dixon reports the encounter her 8-year-old son had with the ‘Momo Challenge,’ a game played on YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp and other platforms that encourages kids to self-harm and eventually kill themselves. The game’s mascot is a scary face of a black-haired, bug-eyed girl who looks like an eerie twist on a character straight out of “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” If you know any children, please make parents aware of this. I will be watching my best friend's child a lot closer when she is on an iPad. Here is a CNN article about videos in general from YouTube Kids. Here is a link about the 'Momo' game. Please be aware that the image of the girl can be disturbing, it is for me anyway. (It is from a Christian based website, but it doesn't not reference that in the article.) When I shared this on facebook, several parents reported they have already heard their kids talking about this.
