The reason he is choosing to not call him a dictator at this point in time is because calling him a one does in fact give the Republican party, the Senate and the presidency the legal wiggle room to create American military intervention. He doesn't have that power, come on... The whole world already knows Maduro is a dictator and some countries even don't recognize him as the president anymore. Bernie Sander can say what he wants, it will not make such a difference. He could say Maduro is a dictator and be against intervention at the same time. Centrists in the last several decades of American politics have appeased the further right republican party, and effectively disabled the democratic party from achieving protections for workers, POC & other marginalized groups. "centrism" is not a political stance because it shifts every time the right & left do.
