Like when people who don't pay attention to entertainment news are commenting on it, it's definitely gone beyond some speculation by GGD fans and some jokey tweets.  Even the L.A. Times devoted a whole article only to pictures of Bradley and Gaga, and WaPo did a break down.

Also, the fact that they were apparently making the rounds together Friday and Saturday to all the parties (I believe People Mag.) is....interesting. And US Weekly is less reliable, but the whole thing about them being in a corner at some party Friday night. Like they have PR people so they know how that has to come across.

Lastly, and I swear I'm not trying to be petty or mean about Irina because I honestly feel bad for her even tho she's beautiful and successful. But the girl tends to pose hard in the past at VF, which tends to get the most press coverage. I remember seeing photos of her in the past working that carpet. The fact that she didn't go pose on that VF carpet....hm.

I'm getting kind  of annoyed, tho, because I've already seen some misogynistic framing by the media as we all predicted. Like 95% of the media thinks they equally want to bone (which isn't great, but understandable since most of us thought that), but the 5% framing her as a hopeless crush or evil seductress type are infuriating. 

People wrote up her tame instagram post as "gushing" and "raving"—making her sound like a girl with a crush—although the bottom part of the article is fine most probably won't see that or just read the headline. And I'm side-eying People, as they are the most celeb friendly tabloid and are considered semi-legit as actual stars will give them interviews and can't "afford" to piss of A listers-but they ran with a "5 things to know about Irina." So either his publicist stepped in to shut all this down, they want clickbait even if they are desperate, or People legitimately suspects something is going -on-.

And I feel bad for BCoop since they are already stalking him and Irina. I'm guessing Gaga's back in Malibu, since the paps aren't as insane over there.

At the same time, neither Gaga nor BCoop are that dumb and neither are their publicists so I can't feel that bad. They clearly give no f*cks about hiding their chemistry, and I think they -knew- this would be a moment.

The two of them obviously have a connection and great chemistry, they also both know exactly what they're doing - look how much press there is about Shallow and ASIB right now. I don't think they're in love, I just think they're taking advantage of the media attention for the sake of the movie and the soundtrack, and why not?

There are so many articles praising them both as performers and praising the film as a whole; the fact that it didn't get as much recognition at the awards as it deserved will play in it's favour in the long run. On top of that, the recent performances and the 'are they-aren't they?' media storyline have all helped solidify it as an iconic movie: it's not only great to watch, with incredible music but there's now a mythology and mystery surrounding the film and it's actors. 

Off topic but I hope Bradley is proud, he didn't win awards but the film truly won, just in a different way.

Yeah F the dailymail. It’s a total rag that has Lisa Vanderpump on speed dial. BUT I was interested in the pictures. Obviously they didn’t end up ignoring each other after the awards Iike people thought.

We predicted the misogyny from the beginning, but at least it’s not as bad as we thought. Mel B can f*ck right off on the horse she road in on. 

I did not see the People article about Irina. Was it positive? I did notice that anytime there is gossip about Bradley and Gaga, a magazine does a story about Bradley and Irina, a couple of weeks ago there was one in Elle I think.

I do not for one second think anything they did was for show. But I also don’t understand why they are pushing this narrative. They aren’t idiots and have to know what people will think.

Then again they are both people who play pretend for a living. So they are on some level insane and probably can’t help it. 

P.S sorry to disagree, but while on the surface her Instagram post seemed tame, “artistic genius” FFS. She’s goddamn Lady Gaga. SHE is the artistic genius. He is Rocket the Raccoon. That’s not a dig, but only someone in love with him would say some sh!t like that.

Eh, he is Rocket but I think she is effusive about everyone she cares for and collaborates with regardless of what may or may not be going on with them. The misogyny has mostly been regulated to Daily Fail and Bar Stool's entertainment tweets, as far as I can see, which is way better than I expected although some stans are unfortunately perpetuating it for some reason.

I'm pretty sure the gossip will die down, although the paps are clearly stalking them both right now, especially if Gaga stays mostly in Malibu as she's rarely papped there (Malibu has strict public ordinance laws and has managed to basically get rid of most paps).  Neither one are dumb enough, at least I hope, to go out to lunch together or whatever in public right now or even in the next few months because if they are seen together it's going to be a story, although it will be less of one as time goes by. Considering how messy all this is and how even her IG posts are getting taken a certain way, I'm kind of team I hope they don't turn into a thing even tho I suspect they have feelings for one another.

I think Mel B and Jennifer probably made the situation worse; I'm not sure the more legit, although legit is a questionable word, tabloid outlets would have had the nerve to go after big A listers if they hadn't started it.  I don't doubt that some of them will be misogynistic, but hopefully the stories will die down after this week...especially as Taylor will drop something on Saturday.

While I do think she likes to play and give people a show when something is going on in her life, and be that person (for example, her decay of the blonde icon thing she coined while dealing with a genuine bump in her life & career), IA: I think the ones who believe this performance is 100% artificial make no sense either. Especially when you see that part in their performance where Bradley hits a bad note, and eyes still locked, she nods at him presumably in reassurance before he continues on. I think that is the genuine type of thing that people emotionally respond to when they call this performance romantic. I also don't think they meant to make Irina seem an awkward third wheel, that just happened organically by circumstance (and the need of BCoop to bring his mom as his other date ).

Maybe Bradley had some idea since he told Gaga “sometimes it takes courage to be true to yourself” at the final rehearsal for the Oscars. They put it all out there in Shallow maybe since it was the last time they would be singing together and to give the people what they want. Did they know they were going to break the internet? I think not. Was it two actors playing in character as Irina’s friend stated in an interview? I don’t think so
