I personally don't watch many Netflix movies, but I love Birdbox. Yes it has it's ups and downs and can be confusing, but the plotline and story revolving around it is so cool in my opinion, like I'm really interested in apocalyptic movies that have to do with a creature or technology ending the world. What do you think about the movie?

It needs a sequal, and I think they're considering it, but so far there's no confirmation of one yet

I loved it but I wish I would've seen it in a cinema. The whole audience reaction, the big screen and sound... it would've been THAT movie.

There are better movies out there. I don't get the hype tbh. I think it's only seen as good because it's Netflix and alot of people today only watch Netflix so there are limited choices. It doesn't have a wide variety of movies so when a new one comes on everybody watches it. I thought it was very "meh".

I think because it was so hyped by memes and mainstream media, it opened up the door for it too be poorly received by people. If it had a more quiet roll-out I'm sure people would be liking it more.

It's good, which is impressive for most scary movies. It has amazing acting, an interesting plot and I was never bored. You really care for those characters, I didn't want to pause for a second. I also enjoy that it gives space for the viewer to think a bit about it. I don't think there were that many questions left unanswered, because the point of the movie was not to offer typical scary monsters.

 

But, on the other hand, despite all the great things, it can't help falling into some of the scary movies' cliches, specially the lukewarm script. For such a great idea (because it really was a great one), it deserved a better script. Ultimately, it's a scary movie with a good idea, not a good idea that ends up being a scary movie.

 

So, it was ok, I'd watch it again.
