The thing itself can be good but if he’s doing it to instigate more trouble with Iran, than he’s just using us to further his own agenda. Surprise surprise. He can’t have his cake and eat it too by promoting decrimiaization of homosexuality but ban trans individuals from the military on baseless grounds.

Iran and other countries *should* decriminalize and modernize their stances, there he’s right, but I’m hardly going to praise the man since I know his intentions are not queer liberation and equality. He’s still a bigoted prawn, the only difference here is that he found a use for us. You can’t just accept and promote queer rights when it suits your own personal agenda. That’s the same thing he’s done with Native Americans and black people (“where’s my black guy?!”). He’s still a lowly pos it’s just that the biproduct of that could be advantageous for once but isn’t going to make us forget the scores of times it wasn’t and when he went out of his way to attack the rights of queer people and other minorities.
