Bradley-Gaga EGOT symbiosis

So... Grammys already happen and we are just waiting for the Oscars. Great opportunity to emphasize the symbiosis that Bradley and Gaga have. It is undoubtable that Gaga benefited a lot off collaboration with Bradley during whole ASIB project. She was eligible to win awards for her acting (and some of the awards she already snatched). But most importantly: Gaga can win her fist Oscar (more probably for Original Song, rather than Best Actress, but Oscar is Oscar anyway) this year, which will be her 'O' in the EGOT.

She already has 9 awards for 'G'. We still need her to win 'E' for some TV project (which should obviously be her next career step), and then, one will left for Theater. If it comes to Bradley: Yes, he still need to earn Oscar, Emmy and Tony (and I know he will someday), but... For him the hardest one to receive was the 'G' for music. He just earned his first ever Grammy! It wouldn't be possible without Gaga!

What you guys think?

Bradley

She has thanked Bradley so many times (well mainly because she's received several awards on stage and she has Twitter/Instagram) I think people forget that Bradley benefited a lot from associating with Gaga as well.

Bradley has a song that is #1 on iTunes worldwide for 100 days, won a fcking Grammy award, and is nominated for Record of the Year, all of which would not be possible without Gaga.

All of this just further validates the obvious theory that they are soulmates. The way they lift each other up, they faith they put in each other, the way they look into each other's eyes...you can just tell they're supposed to be in each other's lives. As friends, as lovers, it doesn't matter. They're just meant to be together in some way.

I still can't get over the fact that Bradley won a Grammy before Katy and Nicki. And he did it with his debut single. :ally:

Okay, I wouldn’t go that far. Katy has a very iconic song called “Firework” which was a massive hit in 2010/11 and before Nicki Minaj became a joke she was a kickass rapper and her debut album Pink Friday was actually awesome. Roman Reloaded was both an upgrade and a downgrade at the same time and the reissue The Re-Up was the real beginning of her undoing, unfortunately.

While their hey-day is becoming increasingly distant, and they’re moving further away from their original charms, they both became famous for a reason.

Yes because Firework should have won ROTY over Rolling in the Deep :interestinga: also with those lyrics about plastic bag it's truly Grammy worthy. Nothing against Katy but her songwriting was always a little immature and not up to par with the actual winners. Also having 8 songs that sound the same submitted doesn't help either. It's always been her style but the critics and Grammys won't eat it up. When you look at Grammys past winners they usually award either critically acclaimed songs and albums or at least now try to give it to songs and albums that are both acclaimed and successful. Katy has just never been a critical darling so I see why she hasn't won. When it comes to Nicki the situation is similar if anything she should have won for Only buy thats it.

And Shallow IS far superior to what these girls have done.

Dude, I don’t give a damn about Grammy’s. I’m talking about cultural impact. The Grammys are nothing but entertainment and they don’t validate what the artist means to the GP or fans. I’m only saying that those women have certainly made their mark in music and I believe “Firework” and “Moment for Life” will be more fondly remembered by people in the future than “Shallow” will as they resonate with people.

Gurl you can't talk about quality then mention Firework. Not with that "plastic bag drifting through the wind" lyrics.

I hope they both get it. I hope Gaga gets her Oscar This year. I hope she colabs with Lin Manuel Miranda for theTony and I hope the Emmy isn't far behind.

Literally won't be. Ain't nobody even knows Moment for Life. Fireworks been overplayed. From people around me that are not pop stans all I hear is how they're tired of Nicki and Katy. Meanwhile everybody loves Shallow from my 7 yo niece to my 75 grandma in law. Also you were replying to a comment about Grammys so go figure.

Roar had a way bigger impact than Firework—and frankly Katy's vocals sounded way better on it. I like her, but her vocals can be weak as hell but she sounded good on Roar. I don't think anyone is denying they had a cultural impact, just in terms of actual musicianship, more than just a bop, there are only a few tracks that were great.

And I think Gaga's going to get an EGOT before Bradley.
