Back in 2016, for the Perfect Illusion release... 

It's weird because I think a lot of us - and Gaga included, I'd imagine - see Joanne as a healing era. But here, Gaga is broken. To be honest, I think this is the rawest performance of her career. She looks and sounds very sad, very angry and very traumatised. 

That said, I love this performance and I love how she sounds. The anger is so powerful and man, she's really feeling the song and it's meaning. She would die for whoever she is singing about. And I think, personally, she was still very broken by Taylor at this point. 

Also, I hate to say it, but I think she might've been using drugs quite badly still at this point. Which is again pretty weird, because we don't really associate that to the Joanne era.

Such a powerful performance, I remember watching the performance of Perfect Illusion from this night on repeat

Saw a band at the MOTH a couple of months ago, was the most dive of a bar that you can get. No signs at all some dude literally was just shouting moth club entrance to people going past :ladyhaha:, iconic small venue tho, thought about this video when I got in there.
