Gay men vote more for the far-right than LGBTQ people but straight men vote even more for the far-right.

Yeah, I misread the statistics and thought it was 26% of gay men versus 16% of straight male voters. I guess it balances things.

the reason is called ISLAM, the religion that wants gays dead and it's NOT racism to not want Islam in your home country. Even here in Canada there are many cases of gay men in the gay areas getting beaten by middle Eastern immigrants right on the street and the media won't talk about it, all we can do is warn each other because if we talk about it people call us racists. Liberals you have to choose one, GAYS OR ISLAM.

Homophobia isn't unique to Islam. Immigrants are expected to obey the same laws everyone else does and when they don't, they're held accountable. Those laws can include adding the title of "hate crime" to an assault or, god forbid, a murder. Plenty of far right politicians would have those protections removed from the LGBT community. You can't burn down your country to stop some non-native people

Saying "Even here in Canada there are many cases of gay men in the gay areas getting beaten by middle Eastern immigrants right on the street and the media won't talk about it" is no different from Trump saying "Mexicans are coming over bringing crime, drugs, they're rapists" and then using a handful of incidents where a Mexican immigrant was an aggressor to justify his b.s.

It's true, people from a country where assault on gay people is acceptable can be a threat. But an even greater threat is to actively work on installing political leaders who will form a government that sees you as less than a person.

You wouldn't be getting rid of homophobia, you'd be institutionalizing it. You'd allow yourself to become more vulnerable than ever.

And Democrats have statistically done much better for the economy than their opponents  Trump and the GOP rose to power this time by appealing to the frenzied racists and people armed with a vote yet too careless to stop and think for themselves. They'd rather see Trump as a foul mouthed outsider who'll really stick it to the establishment than the corrupt, lying, hateful p.o.s. that he really is.

Even though I'm not terribly caught up with specific European countries' politics, as an outsider looking in, it looks like Europe has a bad case of Trump syndrome. Just with few Mexicans and more Muslims.

i was talking about the European situation, which is slightly different

for example, I like in Romania and here is the situation:

Social Democratic Party - leftist economy, but conservative, homophobic, corrupt af - currently the largest party

National Liberal Party - right wing economy, conservative, homophobic, not liberal at all
