I'm actually glad Gaga broke off the what ever that was because the whole Joanne era you could see how much she tried to be conservative and tamed down and I don't know if only because of the era of because she really tried to change something about herself ....:coffee:

That said, albums released by Universal labels make up four of the Top 50 Chart’s Top 5. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born Soundtrack (Interscope) rises #3-2, tacking on 45k, with a little over a week left ‘til The Oscars. Another member of Team Lipman, Post Malone, sees his beerbongs & bentleys (Republic) hop #6-4 with 38k. And the Queen Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack (Hollywood) jumps #11-5 with 37k in tandem with the movie’s DVD/Blu-ray release.

Following her Album of the Year Grammy win, MCA Nashville’s Kacey Musgraves, who took home a total of four awards, can also celebrate a marketplace reaction, as Golden Hour re-enters at #10 with 33k. Other Grammy-related reappearances include H.E.R.’s H.E.R. (RCA)—#21, 19k—and Brandi Carlile’s By the Way I Forgive You (Low Country/Elektra)—#23, 18k.

Michael Bublé also joined the party, as November release (and obvious Valentine’s Day staple) Love (Reprise) finds itself at #36.

When it comes to marketshare, UMG is #1 with 59%, WMG follows with 24% and SME is #3 with 14%, while the indies claim 4%.

Streeting this week are projects by Big Machine’s Florida Georgia Line and BMG’s Avril Lavigne.

Nnn I went to pick up two straight friends of mine from home. We were in my car and Girls Like You came on the radio. They started talking about how Maroon 5’s halftime sucked and then they said they were smoking weed and re-watching past performances together before I arrived and their favorite one was Gaga’s one because she was amazing jumping off the roof etc., she killed it even more than legends like Madonna, Prince, Springsteen and that she’s on top of her game right now after ASIB. I literally didn’t open my mouth, they did all by themselves :nooo:

literally me when I'm in public or at work and hear people praising Gaga Nnn :ally:

Come on now...

What the hell did Glenn and Olivia do that Gaga proved she couldn’t do in ASIB...have you guys seen The Wife and The Favorite......Olivia is hardly main billing in the favorite and Glenn literally has ONE SCENE that goes beyond that monotone attitude she had all film.

Guys don’t act like I’m crazy when you have sites like “The Ringer” claiming that Gaga was the best actress of the whole year. Of course it’s all opinion to a degree but you guys are definitely shortcoming Gaga by acting like she doesn’t even deserve to be in the category with these other women.

Question for you: what actress in what film made you “feel” more than Gaga did? What actress was so much better than Gaga? And give me reasons. Don’t reply if you can’t have an actual discussion on this. I’ve seen all 8 films nominated for best picture and I love Glenn to death but Gaga was amazing and had a huge impact this year in film and music and was successful doing ALL of it. She’s my Best Actress by far

Okay. Can we please stop underrating Gaga’s Performance? Y’all need to start judging the performances objectively first. Glenn was more nuanced and subtle in The Wife while Gaga was all that + wider emotional range in ASIB. Coleman was fantastic but like I said, it was more of a supporting role or 3 leading actresses like someone pointed out earlier. Haven’t seen Mellisa’s or Yalitza’s performance but let’s just be happy she got an Oscar  nom at her first lead role. Hi

Does it matter? Damage is done

you contradict yourself completely.

i admit i watched only the wife, asib & favourite. asib was amazing, loved it, favourite was a hot mess, and something about the wife was.... extraordinary.

don't go telling people to give you reasons why you think other actresses were better, there aren't reasons for this, there are feelings, and i'm sorry, despite the fact that gaga did OUTSTANDING with her first huge role, she doesn't come close to Glenn. just because you seemingly connect to gaga's role, doesn't mean other actresses are ****.

and citing the ringer as your source of 'she's better than others'.... sis? wHAT? the conTRADICTION? :ladyhaha:

So what did Glenn do so amazing in The Wife? What particular scenes did she do well?

Edit: Also, I never called any other actress ****, I said it was a weak field this year, which it was. Are you gonna tell me that’s wrong too?
