Gaga got nominated for BA (this is so freaking HUGE and some monsters react as if it's an mtv award, saying a nom doesn't mean anything lmfao) and will probably win for song and THAT is exactly what she deserves. Olivia Colman is the one who is getting robbed in this category, she's just incredible omg (just go watch the dance scene!). Close was very good in "The wife" but had she won her two deserved oscars (the academy really took her for granted in the 1980s), we wouldn't even be talking about her, they wouldn't even watch it. Her timing is just too good (which is why I switched from Gaga to Glenn last minute for my globe predictions, even though everyone else saying Gaga had it in the bag). She's up against an underrated (in the US) british actress on her first nomination who barely campaigned (she was the one who needed it the most since they don't know her) and a popstar on her first role who could be rewarded elsewhere. Glenn is the veteran american actress who slayed TV, stage and cinema for 45 years and never won an oscar! Won everything except BAFTA, she has this oscar in the bag! Some of them might even vote for her without watching her film like some allegedly did for Juliane Moore!

Huh? Did we all watch the same movie? Glenn was phenomenal in The Wife. So nuanced and natural and the movie is underrated af imo. It reminded me of gaga in ASIB actually both very natural performances. Not too out there

also we all know she deserved for fatal attraction over Cher. But Cher was good and she’s iconic so whatever.

imho every single lady nominated did an spectacular job and everyone deserves to win and I wouldn’t be mad if anyone from that category won

That's also true. Glenn's campaign has been always on point so far. Too bad they didn't push Olivia just as much...

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

She is robbing her nod since is a supporting role on the film :pole:

People should be really happy that Gaga was nominated as an actress at the Oscars. This alone is like a huge award for her

365 will be supported by Pop just like Starving, Stay, The Middle etc. That alone should guarantee it a Top 20 hit even with meh sales and horrible streaming.

I'm happy. Just thinking about a win is not bad. I won't die if she looses. That's it.

A BA Oscar nom is basically the equivalent of like ten grammies Nnn. It's beyond huge. How many pop stars can say they were an Oscar nominated actress/actor?

That's incredible. Cher won in 1987. Gaga was 1 year-old. Other musician in Best Leading Actress before Gaga?
