He should've won last night's debut director award by a landslide considering he was the only one nominated for the main award. He could become one of the biggest figures in cinematography and those old farts are pressed. At least he managed to cause a huge impact and turn heads around the globe. An award from a critics committee will never amount to the hundreds of millions this film has made, nor will it amount to the tens of millions of hearts this film has touched. Sure, it builds rapport and prestige within the industry, but what’s the point in that if they turn on you just as quick as they build you up the inner workings of awards season doesn’t make it worth it. Punishing nominees for presenting at other shows, only letting popular songs perform at the Academy Awards . It’s all about how you campaign Awards season may have mercilessly ****ed this movie over, but the film itself has been a monumental success. No snub can take that pride away from Bradley, or Warner.
