Does anyone think Reputation will win its category? I simply don’t see the grammy's voters enjoying this record.

Los Angeles Times: Grammy Predictions

Record of The Year: "[...] The smart money is on Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s 'Shallow', a real-deal event record that’s taken on a life beyond 'A Star Is Born' — and satisfies the Grammys’ well established desire to see a slick pop star go rootsy."

Song of The Year: "The academy’s highest-profile songwriting award 'song of the year' has historically made even less room for rap than the other category. So it’s almost impossible to imagine 'God’s Plan,' 'This Is America' or 'All the Stars' winning here. [...] like recent tunes by Adele, Sam Smith, Lady Antebellum and the Dixie Chicks before it, 'Shallow' seems primed to take both song and record of the year.

out of interest - what were their predictions last year? Were they correct?

Everyone acting like Ari isn't doing good numbers. Sis, we're in the streaming era. No one besides Taylor and Adele has had a million selling week, and they purposely kept themselves off streaming.

Drake did 700K, he's the biggest. 300K is quite huge in this perspective. You can compare it to your faves in 2011 or 2009, but if you look at how much sales have dropped in general this is what it is now.

I think it's either Reputation or Sweetener. Grammys love Taylor, and she got snubbed. Ed took home the pop category when he got the same treatment, so part of me believes they'll follow suit.

I think she will win for sure. Its her only nomination and Grammys kinda love her soooo. Its hers to lose
